Mud on road

Reported via mobile in the Mud on Road category anonymously at 16:22, Tuesday 29 October 2024

Sent to West Northamptonshire Council 18 hours, 8 minutes later. ref: 6672734.

Well done for cleaning the drains and grates from mud in a timely manner recently (ref: 6503686.) A508 Harborough Rd North. Could I suggest a possible cause of the problem? Lorries from Boughton Quarry as we have seen so often in the past. Road sweepers may come along, or may not, but all they do is sweep the mud to the kerb blocking any drains. Before too long the newly cleaned drains will be clogged again resulting in more cost to the Council Tax payer. Please could this problem be taken up with the Quarry and an alternative solution to road sweeping found once the mud is already on the road. Jet washing the lorry wheels before they exit the quarry? Just a thought.
