  • The faded road markings around this busy interchange, not just at the marked location, were originally reported in June 2023 which, according to my calendar, was mor than 26 weeks ago! Local people generally know which lane to get in, but visitors don't and this lack of markings can cause drivers to hesitate and then other drivers lose patience - this can result in accidents. Prevention is better than cure, so come on West Northants get it sorted please!

  • This is still bad, most lines faded so you cannot see where to go clearly

  • This is extremely poor service from our 'trusted' council. This is an urgent matter due to the danger of injury, but it is not recognised as such by our councillors.

  • Please be aware that this dangerous road has still not be corrected. The lines have faded further causing collisions. Last week I witnessed another side swipe because no motorists have any idea where the lanes are. I find it remarkable that my local council allows this to continue to happen whilst replacing lines elsewhere in the town that are very low risk. This service is shockingly poor. Please let me know how I escalate this. I am going to inform the local press to highlight this problem to try and protect other road users after a catastrophic failure on behalf of my trusted council

  • From your update at 9.30am today I note that the expected completion date is 28/5/25 which is today! So is it being worked on now?

Posted anonymously at 10:09, Wed 28 May 2025

  • You informed me that this had now been corrected?????? No it hasn't!!!!! What on earth is going on. First you ignore a dangerous situation for months and months allowing accidents to happen due to your incompetence, and now you are lying. How did the council ever get this back? What do you get out of lying? So I ask again, when will you be repairing this serious problem? Truth this time please...... Copy sent to Chronicle and echo

  • You have forgotten to explain to me why you lied, by telling me it was being done.....when you haven't actually started the job. Absolutely disgusting service.

  • You have failed miserably to attend to this urgent issue. You have not bothered to do anything except mislead me, lie to me, and procrastinate. You are responsible to rectify this, but seem to this it's ok to provide appalling service. You even avoid replying to me. Why do you think it's ok to do this? Why are you so bad at your job? How did West Northants Council sink so low? I appreciate it's rather embarrassing for you, but please wake up and do something to sort this serious problem. Stop hiding away. Replies or failure to reply is being fed back to the local media, they are quite interested in this West Northants negligence issue. Look at your responses over the months....I think you can agree to have failed!!!! I wait to see if you care!

  • This was originally reported to you in November last year....with every excuse in the book you have still failed to attend to this severe problem. It's extreme danger and you seem satisfied to continue putting members of the public at risk of injury. Your incompetence is beyond belief. Last time you blamed The Highways Agency, but when asking them, they say it's West Northants Council at fault. It's like a childs playground blamimg each other. The local press are monitoring this issue as I send each pathetic response from you onto them, I hope they publish the article very soon. I will also address this matter to my local MP hoping they will take it seriously and reprimand our hopeless council.

  • What does Defect Repair rejected me please? Is it because it will be outstanding for 1 year on Monday since it was originally reported?
