Section of road from Northants County sign from Wardington.

Reported via mobile in the Potholes / Highway Condition category by Peter Deeley at 18:01, Thursday 28 November 2024

Sent to West Northamptonshire Council less than a minute later. ref: 6797770.

The section of road from the Northants County Sign and towards Chipping Warden is so crippled that it shakes cars to the point it is both uncomfortable and dangerous, especially for cyclists. It has been like this for a very long time. Appx 14 months. It is embarrassing and a joke, as it is just as one drives into Northamptonshire, after superior roads of both Oxfordshire and Warwickshire. Needs resurfacing after ripples removed.

  • This road is in a disgusting state and is not fit for purpose and is leading to accidents. Please repair forthwith. We pay our taxes and expect better of those delivering services and remedies. This section of the A361 has been in this appalling condition for over 13 years and nothing has happened. My car gets destroyed by this road and others in the WNC area

  • As the A361 is closed to all traffic close to this spot, may I suggest you use the road closure as an opportunity to do this repair as well. If this is not done, then a dim view will be taken by both locals and those that use the A361. I have copied in our local MPs of both the two counties as to the situation so will be looking for an enhanced completion date of this problem section of road.

  • It's good to see it being fixed, BUT the signage is appalling and some diversion directions would help people.

  • I and others expect the repairs to the road section reported to be completed whilst the A361 is closed NOT in 2025 as originally indicated. The repair of tge sink hole will need all the equipment and material needed to repair reported section so no excuses please.

  • It looks as though they are doing a good job, but the signage is atrocious.
