Water leaking from near the top of Houghton Hill, has been going on for years but is now much worse. the road is like a river, washing down large quantities of mud and causing erosion of the surface. This is dangerous for pedestrians and cyclists, especially if it freezes.

Investigation: Completed (Defect Found), Defect Repair: Not Started - Thank you for your enquiry. A qualified Highways Inspector has assessed the location and we can confirm that in accordance with the WNC Highways Inspection Manual, the flooding has been assessed and requires a Priority 4 response. We will schedule drainage investigation work to be completed within 26 weeks. When the investigation has been completed, we will inform you of our findings and course of action. Our current average response time for a Priority 4 is 62 days.
