12 inch rain/storm drain cover exposed on Preston Rd

This drain cover has been exposed with heavy rains, the tarmac around it is loosened so it has no protection from transport or rain loosening more tarmac down it. It's near a beck so debris going down it may cause more obstruction. It's also a risk to motorists & cyclists especially in the dark. Co-ordinates 52.155294, 1.197551, on far side from Eydon of dismantled railway bridge. Don't know how long it's been like this.

  • Investigation: Completed (Defect Found), Defect Repair: Not Started - Thank you for your enquiry. A qualified Highways Inspector has assessed the location and we can confirm that in accordance with the WNC Highways Inspection Manual, the defect meets the requirement for a Priority 3 repair. We will schedule a repair to be completed within 28 days. Our current average response time for a Priority 3 repair is 16 days.
