Verges either side of A428 overgrown
Reported via desktop in the Restricted Visibility / Overgrown / Overhanging category anonymously at 15:41, Tue 3 December 2024
Sent to West Northamptonshire Council 21 hours, 55 minutes later. ref: 6815050.
The verges on this stretch of the A428 have become overgrown which is making litter picking difficult and dangerous to undertake. Over the past 6 months several of our regular litter pickers based in Crick have been unable to pick all the way from Crick Garden Centre up towards Malc Pratt's garage at Foxholes due to uncut grass (up to arm pit level in places) and shrubbery blocking access to litter. This is also a fast road with two bends and is therefore becoming quite dangerous to pick. If there was a commitment to keep the grass verges on this stretch of the A428 cut short and cutting back of the shrubbery, this would greatly improve access and the safety of our volunteer litter pickers. We are not sure who is responsible for the upkeep of these verges and would appreciate your advice.
