The drain outside our property continues to be blocked. I have reported this many times over the years but whenever we have even moderate rain a large puddle develops around the drain. The other drains in the vicinity are also in question and the village believes that the drain infrastructure needs investigating for broken pipe work into the field opposite. Certainly the drain outside does not work and in a flood situation all of the system has proved inadequate. Previous ref 6787856

  • The above photo is of the drain last night covered in silt and water after a short heavy shower. The problem here is the fact that the water is flowing down off the field behind which is carrying the silt that is blocking the drain. Unless you help in getting the silt off the road it will only block again and it will need to be dredged out again and again.
