Serious damage to the whole road surface
Sent to West Northamptonshire Council less than a minute later. ref: 6883893.
The whole stretch of this road has serious damage, causing vehicles to almost crawl along the road so not to cause damage to vehicle. This area was closed recently to be repaired but you can't see where its been done. Whole area needs resurfacing.

Investigation: Completed (Defect Found), Defect Repair: Not Started - Thank you for your enquiry. A qualified Highways Inspector has assessed the location and in accordance with the WNC Highways Inspection Manual, a pre-emptive defect has been raised. This means that the location does not currently meet West Northamptonshire Council's criteria as an urgent safety defect. However, the repair will be scheduled to be completed alongside other maintenance works in the local vicinity. We will continue to monitor the condition as part of our routine highway inspection schedule. Should you notice the defect worsening, please inform us via an update to your existing enquiry.

This section of road is very dangerous for cyclists in particular as it quite shaded, on a blind bend, a gradient where drivers inadvertently stray on to the wrong side of the road. If you are unaware of the potholes, cracks and general appalling state it could easily create a a bad outcome for a cyclist if they could not take avoiding action quickly enough. It requires immediate attention please.

This road is pretty close to unrideable on anything other than a mountain bike. Given up trying to ride downhill as you have no safe route. Even uphill it's a nightmare. Not really a pothole just complete failure of the road over a length of about 30 metres. This has been issue for years, amazed that it's not been addressed.
