Recent road resurfacing has raised the height of the road surface in front of the surface drain causing a large area of puddling prone to freezing in sub zero temperatures!

The new resurfacing is raised near to the road surface edge drain preventing adequate drainage thereby causing a large puddle to form. This puddle freezes in sub zero conditions causing dangerous sheet icing! See photos of retained puddling…

Investigation: Completed (Defect Found), Defect Repair: Not Started - Thank you for your enquiry. A qualified Highways Inspector has assessed the location and we can confirm that in accordance with the WNC Highways Inspection Manual, the defect meets the requirement for a Priority 4 repair. We will schedule a repair to be completed within 26 weeks. Our current average response time for a Priority 4 repair is 62 days.
