Piece of metal protuding from the ground has caused my grandmother to trip over and fall face first into the pavement.

The pavement here is higher than the grass field. The ground leading up to the lip of the foot path is quite uneven and slippery plus piece of metal protuding from the ground. The piece of metal that caused my grandmother to fall has been there 10+years. A simple ramp or steps would solve this issue.
