Potholes reopened again more!

Reported via mobile in the Potholes / Highway Condition category anonymously at 08:53, Wed 8 January 2025

Sent to West Northamptonshire Council less than a minute later. ref: 6948854.

The lane has recently been repaired but I’m afraid the pothole fixed has somewhat failed and an even larger area around it has disintegrated in the recent inclement weather.

Please can this be fixed as soon as possible as vehicles are swerving around it and this space is very dangerous. Thank you

  • The problem is getting worse daily and further potholes are creeping across the mill lane. There is a drainage issue somewhere in the vicinity that is believed to be causing the continuing damage. There is a huge concern over safety of drivers and pedestrians alike but also a further concern the road will become impassable. A July fix, as is the latest estimation will be way too late. It needs immediate attention.

  • It has had very much a temporary repair and this hole is already going back to the way it was. A proper repair is required please and the drains need sorting. It is the lack of drainage or drains themselves that are causing the regular damage.

  • A few weeks ago the torrential rain proved that this part of the mill lane needs proper investigation vs just patching. There are serious drainage issues under the tarmac so much so that water was literally pouring out from underneath the lane via the broken up areas on the surface. Please can a full and final investigation be actioned prior to fixing. Patching just will not work and a larger section will require re-surfacing once the root cause to the extremely poor drainage has been resolved. Thank you.

  • Drain is broken underneath the lane which must be investigated and properly fixed prior to repairing the potholes and large amounts of damage to the tarmac in the vicinity. The potholes holes are getting larger and larger. Very dangerous.
