Dangerous Ice on the road

Reported via Android in the Potholes / Highway Condition category by Laura Couse at 13:55, Thursday 9 January 2025

Sent to West Northamptonshire Council less than a minute later. ref: 6956932.

There is always water running down this section of road and in these temperatures this section of the road is very dangerously iced up. It is a narrow road with lots of cars parked up. There has been numerous complaints circulating on the Hardingstone facebook group, and suggested someone gets an old bucket to collect salt/grit from a road storage box and throw some down but the regular flow of water just washes it away. Its an accident waiting to happen. I hope you can stop the garage responsible for the flow of water, or at least grit up the road to make it safe for pedestrians abd cars. Its not safe at the moment. Thank you.

  • This appeared on Hardingstone Noticeboard. Re: the ongoing shenanigans of the businesses operating at 19 High street, looks like they've had the power disconnected now(i know the untraceable owners had been trying to palm off a huge electric bill onto the tenants)and they're now operating a diesel generator to get power to the units, which is an absolute joy for a bit more noise pollution from them, roll on the summer so we can sit in the garden and listen to that all day😡. I've lodged an environmental health report, for what good it will do,but if anybody else living nearby that is being blighted by this also then the more people that lodge a complaint ,the better.
