LIVE CABLE exposed due to excessive water erosion

Reported via desktop in the Potholes / Highway Condition category anonymously at 10:17, Friday 10 January 2025

Sent to West Northamptonshire Council 4 hours, 31 minutes later. ref: 6960522.

I reported this but it was mistaken for a previous report so marked as a duplicate. This is not about a broken pipe, this is about a LIVE CABLE being exposed because the concrete and road edge have been washed away by the sheer weight of water running off the development then into the stream. I was told. " A works order has been raised which you can follow on 6404180 and add updates. The expected completion date for these works will be on or before 26/2/25 this is for cctv to establish wheather there is a broken pipe." But this is nothing to do with a broken pipe; it is about a LIVE CABLE that may be an internet cable.

  • The cable has been covered for now. It has been fixed with a timber to slow run off and and soft mud to cover the cable. It will probably become exposed again with the next few heavy rains as a lot of water from an uncontrolled spring on the development washes down Besses Lane.
