Water streaming out of verge leading to large black ice patch on hill

Reported via mobile in the Flooding category by Lester Gibson (DentonPC) at 14:44, Friday 10 January 2025

Sent to West Northamptonshire Council 6 minutes later. ref: 6962395.

Water is streaming out of verge in large quantities and is now freezing on the hill leading to black ice. We have already had reports of cars skidding down the hill or sliding backwards when trying to get up the hill.

The amount of water coming out is concerning. Likely a spring but it needs proper drainage else an accident is going to happen soon.

  • The public footpath outside the Lower Gate House, 8 Main Street, Denton has tree roots growing into it. The footpath is very uneven. Do the owners of 8 Main Street own the public footpath or does WNC? The floor is uneven and it is dangerous. This needs addressing asap. The Parish Council has written to the home owners to make them aware.

This now seems to be about the public footpath outside the Lower Gate House, 8 Main Street, Denton, which has tree roots growing into it. The ground is uneven and it is dangerous. The Parish Council is asking WNC to confirm ownership of this problem. I look forward to hearing from you.
