Ice on road due to a leak

There has been a leak on Red Lion Street for over a year I believe. This forms a layer of ice when it's cold. My son who has a disability has just slipped over on it - thankfully as far as we are aware there is no adverse effects - mainly shock. We are concerned for elderly neighbours walking up and down and for my son who has to get into a taxi daily outside our house. Water company have not found the route of the problem, but I feel the road should be gritted. We are at no. 13, the ice is outside our house and on the road.

  • Investigation: Completed (Fixed on site) - Thank you for your enquiry. A qualified Highways Inspector has attended the location and carried out an immediate permanent repair / maintenance. You required; cw has been salted and water leak has already been identified by Anglian water should there be any further defects at this location please inform us via an update to your existing enquiry
