Collapsed Corner / Deep Gully / Huge Rut

Reported via mobile in the Potholes / Highway Condition category anonymously at 21:20, Sunday 12 January 2025

Sent to West Northamptonshire Council less than a minute later. ref: 6969990.

Reporting this defect for probably the dozenth time in the last couple of years, during which period it has gotten worse and worse.

The whole edge of the corner of the road of Banbury Road just after you turn off from Litchborough Road has collapsed and crumbled away making it unusable.

This section of road is extremely narrow and often used by tractors / farm machinery and HGVs meaning a narrower usable area of road at the T-Junction where cars are trying to turn off is extremely dangerous and massively increases the chances of an accident occurring.

Whole edge of road along the corner requires rebuilding and resurfacing and probably installation of kerbing to prevent corner from crumbling and collapsing again due to force placed on it by large heavy vehicles turning onto the road.
