3 potholes

Reported via mobile in the Potholes / Highway Condition category anonymously at 16:36, Tuesday 14 January 2025

Sent to West Northamptonshire Council less than a minute later. ref: 6979748.

Three potholes, shown on photo from top left to bottom right. These are caused by a continuous stream of water running down the hill all year round. Leak needs fixed by the water authority and then the road would suffer fewer reoccurring potholes.

  • Good Afternoon

Several more potholes have appeared on this road going beyond The Stollage house. Recently the A5 was closed so much traffic used this and and many were seen checking their tyres having hit potholes which on this narrow road are almost unavoidable.

    Thank you

    Kind regards

  • For the record these potholes are particularly hazardous to cyclists as they are a) large and deep, b) there is a lot of gravel in the centre of the road where a cyclist would naturally try to avoid the pothole, c) at a pinch point where visibility of traffic coming uphill is limited, so heavy breaking on a poor, wet road surface may result.
