Restricted Visibility exit of Cattle End on to Brackley Road

Reported via desktop in the Restricted Visibility category by Mark Dolman at 09:20, Friday 7 February 2025

Sent to West Northamptonshire Council less than a minute later. ref: 7099625.

Issue raised at Keir Drop In Session at Towcester Library 0n 30th Jan, was informed I would receive an email about this early this week but not received. Can you please clear back the vegetation sufficiently so that when a vehicle is sitting at the top of Cattle End you can see clearly, from the driver's seat, past the blind spot so that drivers can pull out with confidence.

Issue raised on FixMyStreet initial reply was that it was the responsibility of the land owner as a hedge. June 2011 view clearly shows the wide verge, including the ditch, is part of the highway. When raised again it was trimmed back slightly but the blindspot remains When the Brackley Road Dadford Rd junction was remodelled the Electricity Pole. On the Cattle End Junction, was removed as it was obscuring the view but what about the scrub on the verge! Traffic coming from Brackley direction gives way at the Dadford Road roundabout but not every vehicle slows so whenever you pull out of Cattle End a speeding vehicle is often in the blind spot.
