Investigating
Substandard application of tarmac surfacing of footpath on Church St
Reported via mobile in the Pothole / Failed Reinstatement category by Cllr Rosie Humphreys at 10:06, Friday 14 March 2025
Sent to West Northamptonshire Council less than a minute later. ref: 7277220.
Please reinvestigate the very poor workmanship of the tarmacing of the footpath from the Wheatsheaf to the back of St Margaret’s Church. It needs to be properly reinstated as the job has not been completed to a satisfactory standard - it is unfinished in parts, is already lifting and is uneven in places and there are numerous vehicle tracks visible.

Investigation: Ongoing - We are satisfied that the slurry seal installation meets the specification in terms of laying temperatures etc. We have assessed the site and there are some areas that will require addressing and we will be returning to Crick to complete these and any outstanding works on 29th March (weather dependant). The reason for the delay is that the carriageways on Church Street and Yelvertoft Road will be micro surfaced next week so want to avoid causing any further disruption to the residents. These works will be at the contractors cost.
