Investigating
Very degraded road outside church
Reported via iOS in the Potholes / Highway Condition category by Jacqueline Gillespie at 10:39, Thursday 27 March 2025
Sent to West Northamptonshire Council less than a minute later. ref: 7345950.
Hi. The road is very degraded between the two bridges at the church yard. As this church is used for funerals, this makes the drive to the church very traumatic, particularly with a hearse and for grieving families as the road is so uneven vehicles (and their contents!) are unable to avoid the ruts/holes. The whole surface requires resurfacing to provide a smooth ‘final’ journey for the unfortunate souls. Please can this be looked into as a priority for the dignity of grieving families. Thanks

It strange how I only reported this area a short while ago, only to be told that it was within acceptable condition. So no work was to be carried out.
I am thankful that it is now getting some of the attention, which was so desperately needed. However I have noticed that some of the problem areas have not been marked out with yellow paint for repair. 1 being a deep rut on the nearside going from the A5 direction into the village, and another being a raised area with potholes either side of it, plus a couple more which are very close to reaching your freshhold. I sincerely hope that these areas will also be part of the repairs.
