Mulberry tree being ‘girdled’ by tight support band

Reported via desktop in the Restricted Visibility / Overgrown / Overhanging category by Alan Morgan at 19:42, Tuesday 15 April 2025

Sent to West Northamptonshire Council less than a minute later. ref: 7440723.

The mulberry tree outside the Arc Cinema is at risk of being permanently damaged as a result of the support band, which is cutting into the outer layers of the trunk. If the band is not released and replaced with one which allows unrestricted growth, the band will eventually cause the tree to die. This was previously reported at the beginning of February 2025, but no action has been taken.
