Water Constantly Running Down the Road

Reported via desktop in the Potholes / Highway Condition category anonymously at 10:38, Thursday 8 May 2025

Sent to West Northamptonshire Council less than a minute later. ref: 7538955.

There has been an issue with water running down School Road towards the Crossroads with Butchers Lane/Banbury Lane for years.

It is worse in winter when temperatures are lower and the weather is wetter as evaporation cannot easily occur.

I suspect that there is a leak or loose joint in a water pipe that is causing water to rise up to surface then run downhill. Similar to the issue on another pipe just down the corner on Butchers Lane that was recently repaired by Anglian Water.

Have also logged this as an issue with Anglian Water on their website

AW Ref Number: 27469389

Can we ensure that a long lasting permemant repair is finally implemented for this issue and certainly before winter as the water freezes over to black ice and becomes a dangerous hazard on the road.
