Footpath neither signed at either end, nor clear of obstructions
Reported via desktop in the Obstruction (Not Vegetation) category anonymously at 16:39, Friday 9 May 2025
Sent to West Northamptonshire Council less than a minute later. ref: 7546551.
Please clear this path. The following is from the Silverstone village Facebook group today, and several have already chimed in to agree that West End is dangerous: "I just had to walk up to collect my car from West End garage and a car shot past me. I could see it was fast so waved my hand for the driver to slow down but just got a loud angry sounding of the horn. Even if it was going at 30 it was too fast. A very narrow road with a pedestrian is dangerous but there are always unskilled selfish drivers about. With the vast amount of traffic at rush hours in particular down our road for the foreseeable future its an accident waiting to happen" I have complained about the council's neglect of this path several times in the past few years, and have always been given the brush off. "Not a priority". Clearing and waymarking it is not a total solution to pedestrian safety along West End, but would be a valuable contribution and need not cost WNC much if you oblige the landowners to meet their legal requirements.
