Reported via desktop in the Restricted Visibility / Overgrown / Overhanging category anonymously at 13:35, Mon 9 June 2025

Sent to West Northamptonshire Council less than a minute later. ref: 7682611.

Alleyway next to 23 Ashtree Way, Old Duston, leading down to Duston Village Bakery. The vegetation has completely covered the handrail, which includes some prickly holly. The person in the picture is 5'2" tall and the vegetation is hitting her head towards the bottom of the path. One of the bush/tree is also so overgrown it is blocking the door from closing on the telephone box at the bottom. Photos were taken on 07/06/2025.

  • Disappointed that this was reported almost 1 month ago and nothing has yet been done, despite an optimistic initial response.

  • Hello,

The alleyway is unregistered land and not on the highway register. However, it is an official Public Right of Way KL/009 on the Definitive Map.

The overgrowing vegetation is making the right of way unusable. When the owner of the land can't be traced how is this official Public Right of Way enforced?

    Thank You
