Crumbling road surface being pushed up by water
Sent to West Northamptonshire Council less than a minute later. ref: 7781974.
This has happened very suddenly but the road surface has crumbled away and is being pushed up by very wet earth. Not sure if there is a water leak or something else is causing this but it needs urgent attention as extremely soft surface that will be made worse by vehicles

Further to WNC Highways e-mail of 30 June 2025, regarding outstanding Fix My Street cases, I am escalating the long outstanding problem with the water leak in Main Street, Denton again.
There have been many and various instances of this problem, and to my knowledge it is recorded under 6624260/ 7289767 and 6962395.
However, today I have been asked to further investigate 7781974 as a big new pothole outside number 10 Main St has emerged with water bubbling out of it and it is getting bigger. It seems that the original water leak was never resolved, just channelled to another location. Yet on 14 May 2025, Highways changed the state to ‘Fixed’ stating that the action to fit a 450mm pipe would keep the water below tarmac level.
As this matter has been outstanding since October 2024, I would appreciate a thorough investigation into this drainage problem with a view to finally resolving this problem.

A qualified Highways Inspector has assessed the location and we can confirm that in accordance with the WNC Highways Inspection Manual, the defect meets the requirement for a Priority 2 repair. We will schedule a repair to be completed within 7 days.

I have heard from a local resident this morning and it appears nothing has been done as the hole is full of water and obviously this is not rain water so it must be coming from underground. Can you please let me have a status report regarding this outstanding repair.

The problems with the water filled hole outside number 10 Main Street have still not been resolved despite a sign appearing to ask residents not to park on the road outside their houses from 29th Sept for 3 days as works were planned. They have not seen any sign of anyone from the highways department. Please provide me with an update.
