Footpath obstructed by new fence

Sent to West Northamptonshire Council less than a minute later. ref: 7812862.

Landowner has fenced across right of way. He is also footpath warden for Hartwell P C.

Lack of clear path on correct alignment reported in 2024.

  • Investigation: Completed (Highways to Monitor, Routine Inspection Programme) - Thank you for your enquiry. Having carried out a site inspection we can confirm that the landowner has ensured that access for the Public Footpath is clear at the end of the newly installed fence through the wooded area. The landowner has also given permission for waymarks to be added to the new fence to denote the line of the footpath.
