Multiple drains blocked on Harlestone Road
Reported via desktop in the Blocked/Damaged category anonymously at 12:04, Wed 9 July 2025
Sent to West Northamptonshire Council less than a minute later. ref: 7832910.
The drain outside my property (49 Harlestone Road) is the only drain from here to Holyrood Road that is not blocked. This means that when we get heavy rain, like we did a few days ago, this drain takes the full brunt and there is a history of it backing up into my cellar. Debris from trees and "mud" are blocking the drains along this stretch on both sides. This needs urgent attention before we get another bout of heavy rain else multiple properties will likely get flooded including mine. The blocked drains also mean that rain water cascades down the Harlestone Road on the paths.

Needless to say, the same drains are all blocked and loads of standing water. As per, debris from trees etc., and there’s quite a stench. Looked and smelt like pools of sewage water as I was walking down towards the traffic lights this morning.
