Sent to West Northamptonshire Council less than a minute later. ref: 7885215.

Must have been hit by a vehicle overnight. Now bollards lying across footpath outside no 55

  • Investigation: Completed (Defect Found), Defect Repair: Not Started - Thank you for your enquiry. A qualified Highways Inspector has assessed the location and we can confirm that in accordance with the WNC Highways Inspection Manual, the defect meets the requirement for a Priority 4 repair. We will schedule a repair to be completed within 26 weeks. Our current average response time for a Priority 4 repair is 52 days.

  • These posts were installed to prevent errant vehicles from mounting the footpath at busy periods putting pedestrian safety at risk (as well as vehicles at the adjacent driveway) as a result.

    52 days is an unacceptable wait-time for such a repair to be completed. The posts now appear to have been removed and the hole patched. Please accelerate the repair asap and reinstall the posts and make the footpath safe again.
