Whole Edge of Road Collapsed

Sent to West Northamptonshire Council less than a minute later. ref: 7953056.

The whole edge of the road as you drive towards Lower Thorpe where the HS2 work is ongoing coming from Culworth direction has completely collapsed.

The edge of the road has broken away leaving a very large wide deep dangerous gully with sharp jaggered edges.

Collapsed edge runs for approximately 100yards and runs around the sharp downhill bend.

  • Investigation: Completed (Defect Found), Defect Repair: Not Started - Thank you for your enquiry. A qualified Highways Inspector has assessed the location and we can confirm that in accordance with the WNC Highways Inspection Manual, the defect meets the requirement for a Priority 4 repair. We will schedule a repair to be completed within 26 weeks. Our current average response time for a Priority 4 repair is 52 days.
