Two potholes if you miss one you go down the other. Very dangerous for cyclists and motorists

  • Investigation: Completed (Defect Found) - Thank you for your enquiry. We can confirm that we have been made aware of this issue. A works order has been raised which you can follow on FMS-7870215 and add updates. The expected completion date for these works will be 14/01/26.

  • This pothole bent my wheel last week. Why is it not being fixed until January? The entire road from Abthorpe to Silverstone Wood is dangerous due to the ridiculous amount of traffic that is using it to avoid the A43.

  • I too have just had a front tyre completely blown because of this pot hole which is getting worse. Only way to avoid is to move into the centre of the road, unable to avoid due to oncoming traffic. Two pit holes close together with further more up the road. Very dangerous.

A qualified Highways Inspector has assessed the location and we can confirm that in accordance with the WNC Highways Inspection Manual, the defect meets the requirement for a Priority 2 repair. We will schedule a repair to be completed within 7 days.
