Footpath signage
Reported via desktop in the Obstruction (Not Vegetation) category anonymously at 20:04, Mon 4 August 2025
Sent to West Northamptonshire Council less than a minute later. ref: 7979093.
The footpath sign from the Towcester Road at Foscote for the footpath RA12 appears to have been removed. The hedge is growing over to obstruct access to the footpath from the road. As this is a busy road, this situation represents a potential danger to life if someone crosses the road from RA11 and then can't get off the road.

Investigation: Completed (Defect Found), Defect Repair: Not Started - Thank you for your enquiry. We can confirm that the hedge at the start of Footpath RA12 from the roadside has now been cut back. A footpath sign for this route does exist on the opposite side of the road. A works order has been raised to clear the vegetation around this fingerpost and replace the footpath finger to ensure it points in the correct direction for Footpath RA12. This work will be undertaken within the next 12 months.
