Overhanging Vegetation on verge

Hi there, I represent the National Highways environment team in the east midlands.
Our inspectors found an issue with overhanging vegetation at the marked location obstructing Northant's council's grass verge on the overpass. They attempted to raise a job for this to be cut back, but due to the road not forming part of National Highways road network, the cost for traffic management and difficulty booking the road space was generating extortionate costs which were hard to justify based on the severity of the matter.
As the offending vegetation does not yet impact on the carriageway, can we kindly ask that you address this issue by cutting back the vegetation to your boundary when carrying out cyclical landscape works in the area.

Investigation: Completed (Highways to Monitor, Routine Inspection Programme) - Thank you for your enquiry. A qualified Highways Inspector has assessed the location, and we can confirm that in accordance with the WNC Highways Inspection Manual, the vegetation at this location is not currently meet the intervention criteria.
