I noticed multiple drains are blocked and, when the next heavy rain arrives, a flood will form next to the wall on the road. This will result in splash-damage to the wall, plus cause further damage to the road surface.

Damage will result to the wall and road surface. This will result in a monetary claim by the parish council, against you, for failing to keep the drains unblocked. There are 6-10 drains that are heavily loaded with leaves/twigs that will prevent the water from draining away, as designed, into the stream underneath the road.

  • Investigation: Completed (Defect Found), Defect Repair: Not Started - Thank you for your enquiry. A qualified Highways Inspector has assessed the location and we can confirm that in accordance with the WNC Highways Inspection Manual, the defect meets the requirement for a Priority 4 repair. We will schedule a repair to be completed within 26 weeks. Our current average response time for a Priority 4 repair is 59 days.
