  • This pothole has now gotten significantly deeper and larger. Motorists are now forced to swerve to avoid it. This will now cause damage to tyres and wheels if driven over. Please make this repair a priority.

  • This pothole been highlighted for a very long time, at the moment is so deep that the road substrate is coming out. Very dangerous to avoid if you encounter oncoming traffic

  • Good evening, I attach two photo's I have just taken. This pothole is much deeper than the 3 1/4" / 83mm you can see here, given that the hole is so large that my 600mm long spirit level cannot reach the top of the road surface on both sides. You may wish to increase the priority give to this pothole please? Thanks. Kind regards, Cllr .Peter Matten.

  • Thank you for the reply quoting next March. I put it to you that a pothole of this size (deeper than 75mm and larger than 300mm dia.), in this location, meets the criteria for a Priority 3 repair (within 28 days) laid out in the Kier/WNC Highways Safety Inspection Manual, page 25. Will you please reconsider this and respond? Thank you.

  • There has been no update made by West Northamptonshire Council, yet there has been a slight repair made to this pot hole. It does not however, appear to bet up to standard. The interim repair has only filled half the depth of the hole now that the tarmac has had time to settle. Was this repair made by WNC, as no update indicates this?

This is a main traffic route through the town.
