Investigating
Hedges outside of 50 Velocette Way covering over half the path
Reported via desktop in the Overgrown Private Vegetation category anonymously at 13:42, Mon 15 September 2025
Sent to West Northamptonshire Council less than a minute later. ref: 8167469.
Doesnt look to have been cut in over a year. Covering so much of the path people having to walk in the road. This is made worse when they also park cars/vans across the path and have no choice at all. This is a main route children walk to school

I was just about to report this as have had to walk in the road with a double buggy because of the encroachment onto the pavement. The hedge obviously belongs to No 50 why hasn’t anything been done yet?

Nothing has been done. And now with it colder & darker, it's now more dangerous as vehicles drive at speed, and the is on the corner of two bends. Means people having to walk in the road cannot see any traffic coming, either way.

I came here to report the hedge covering half of the path, but see it was reported in September as now worse than before. I don’t think the hedge is outside number 50 - Google Earth says the property is number 50 but from street view I think it is number 29 or thereabouts? Either way, the updates from WNC say someone has been out to assess so they would know which hedge/house. The hedge blocks half the path, making it very difficult for pushchair and wheelchair users. Please just cut it back as the letters don’t seem to be doing anything!

How many people need to report this & letters do you send before you actually do something???

5 letters have been sent so far since September and nothing has been done, so a further letter will still not do anything. You can see that people are fed up with it as it’s blocking the path, please just cut it back now!
