Several large, deep, sharp-edged potholes

The road surface on the stretch of road from the Abthorpe crossroads to Silverstone are and have been appalling for years. The conditions continue to worsen, not helped by large volumes of traffic diverting from the A43.

  • Investigation: Completed (Defect Found), Defect Repair: Not Started - Thank you for your enquiry. A Community Steward has assessed the location and we can confirm that the defect meets the requirement for a Priority 3 repair. We will schedule a repair to be completed within 28 days. Our current average response time for a Priority 3 repair is 12 days.

  • This whole stretch of road has multiple potholes. Some are so big they will damage someone's car/tyres! There is a sign up that the road was closed for a few days on the 21st November; however, there is no sign of any potholes being attended to. With the increase in vehicles using the road due to the A43 road works, these potholes need attending to ASAP.
