Sunken road

There is a sink hole or something underneath this section of road. Over the past few weeks the dip in the southbound carriageway driving past the reservoir towards the town centre has become more pronounced. It throws vehicles up and there are divots in the road from where the underside of the vehicles have been hitting the road surface when they bump down this section. The situation is worsening and needs to be rectified as it is not right and HGV's constantly use this route.

  • Investigation: Completed (Defect Found), Defect Repair: Not Started - Thank you for your enquiry. A qualified Highways Inspector has assessed the location and we can confirm that in accordance with the WNC Highways Inspection Manual, the defect meets the requirement for a Priority 4 repair. We will schedule a repair to be completed within 26 weeks. Our current average response time for a Priority 4 repair is 59 days.
