Dangerous road surface

From where the bridle path meets the old Clipston Road for about an eighty meter stretch the highway is extensively pockmarked marked with signicant ridges in the road surface and dangerous. A considerable number of elderly residents of the village use this on a regular basis to walk up to lowe farm and back from the village as it used to be a quiet peaceful walk from the village and very safe.A number of residents have fallen in this area due to tripping over the extremely uneven road surface. The villagers appreciate the fact that you have done work further down the road near the village and it would be really appreciated if this section of the highway could also be addressed as it is a significant danger to pedestrians who trip and fall in this area. It is only a matter of time before serious injuries are sustained by a pedestrian Urgent attention would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks Sibbertoft Parish Council.

  • Investigation: Completed (Defect Found), Defect Repair: Not Started - Thank you for your enquiry. A qualified Highways Inspector has assessed the location and we can confirm that in accordance with the WNC Highways Inspection Manual, the defect meets the requirement for a Priority 4 repair. We will schedule a repair to be completed within 26 weeks. Our current average response time for a Priority 4 repair is 59 days.
