Looks like a previous pothole or utility repair is hollowing out leaving a hole that would be a bit dangerous for bikes.

A qualified Highways Inspector has assessed the location and we can confirm that in accordance with the WNC Highways Inspection Manual, the defect meets the requirement for a Priority 4 repair. We will schedule a repair to be completed within 26 weeks. Our current average response time for a Priority 4 repair is 59 days.

I hit this pothole in my car yesterday evening with an almighty thud. Was surprised I didn't get a puncture. It needs attention soon.

Repeat!! the temporary repair that you reported as completed on 23/10/25 has come out and the full depth of pothole remains. It cannot wait for 26 weeks.
