Warning sign not visible
Reported via desktop in the Obscured by vegetation or Dirty category anonymously at 11:13, Thu 6 November 2025

You have closed my previous ticket regarding this case. You stated that there are already x4 signs warning drivers that there could be oncoming cars in the middle of the road. This is incorrect. Please double check your records on the nature of the other signs in this section of the village that you referred to and you will see they are entirely different. We only have one warning sign & this cannot be seen. Cars are driving too fast, from Old direction and do not allow themselves time to negotiate the parked cars in a safe and LEGAL manner. Cars are mounting the pavement, level with Home Farm / Home Farm Cottage/Barn Cottage and driving along the pavement rather than following the Highway Code. Car wing mirrors are being damaged and pedestrians are in danger. Some properties front doors open out directly onto the pavement where these vehicles mount the pavement, which is so dangerous. This sign must be clearly visible, from at least level with the Church to aid in road safety and to slow the cars down. I will be contacting Highways/Kier separately to request some "20 is plenty" signage on behalf of Scaldwell Parish Council
