  • Investigation: Completed (Defect Found), Defect Repair: Not Started - Thank you for your enquiry. A qualified Highways Inspector has assessed the location and in accordance with the WNC Highways Inspection Manual, a pre-emptive defect has been raised. This means that the location does not currently meet West Northamptonshire Council's criteria as an urgent safety defect. However, the repair will be scheduled to be completed alongside other maintenance works in the local vicinity. We will continue to monitor the condition as part of our routine highway inspection schedule. Should you notice the defect worsening, please inform us via an update to your existing enquiry.

    While dropping my daughter off at school, I drove through a roundabout and immediately after exited it, my wheel struck a deep pothole. The impact caused significant damage to my tyre, including a large cut due to the rebound, and I was forced to pay for a replacement wheel. I have a receipt for this expense. This incident caused considerable stress for me, affected my children, and resulted in a significant financial burden. A similar incident occurred last month at the same location, which also damaged my alloy wheel. I have an invoice for the repair of this damage as well. I would appreciate reimbursement for the repair costs incurred, and I strongly urge that this section of the road be repaired as soon as possible to prevent further incidents.
