16" plus pothole on Howcut lane on the hill just beyond the entrance to New Hay Farm

This pothole has been developing throughout the year and is now over 16" in length, nearly 12" wide and 5" + deeep as it has gone through to the substrate. It will get much worse with the current wet weather and hard overnight frosts.

  • Investigation: Completed (Defect Found), Defect Repair: Not Started - Thank you for your enquiry. A qualified Highways Inspector has assessed the location and we can confirm that in accordance with the WNC Highways Inspection Manual, the defect meets the requirement for a Priority 4 repair. We will schedule a repair to be completed within 26 weeks. Our current average response time for a Priority 4 repair is 59 days.
