Tarmac footpath in need of repair
Reported via mobile in the Slabs - Uneven / Damaged / Cracked category anonymously at 16:06, Fri 5 December 2025
Sent to West Northamptonshire Council less than a minute later. ref: 8507292.
The tarmac footpath on the west side of Beech Grove and round the corner into Lumbertubs Lane is in a poor state of repair with most of the wear layer crumbling and/or worn away. It was last resurfaced about 35 years ago. I found an old lady head down and bent over a walking stick walking in the road as she felt safer on the road than on the footpath. The road gutters on the downhill east side of Beech Grove have grass growing in them. Although they were sprayed in the summer, the weedkiller was completely ineffective.
