Another Pothole in the Middle of the Road

There is a nasty pothole in the middle of school road , this pothole has been here for some time and it is getting bigger and deeper.

  • Investigation: Completed (Defect Found), Defect Repair: Not Started - Thank you for your enquiry. A qualified Highways Inspector has assessed the location and we can confirm that in accordance with the WNC Highways Inspection Manual, the defect meets the requirement for a Priority 4 repair. We will schedule a repair to be completed within 26 weeks. Our current average response time for a Priority 4 repair is 59 days.

  • Other more recent potholes further along School Road outside the Playing Fields and Parish Hall were repaired on 18th March yet this pothole and the 5 other massive ones around it which are marked with white road markings are still yet to have a defect repair scheduled.

    Please can a defect repair be scheduled for this section of road as a matter of priority

  • Investigation: Completed (Duplicate), Defect Repair: Rejected - We can confirm that we have already been made aware of this issue and a works order has been raised on a routine safety inspection. The expected completion date for these works will be 04/08/2026
