Long Deep Nasty Pothole / Rut
Sent to West Northamptonshire Council less than a minute later. ref: 8508298.
There is a long deep wide nasty rut / pothole at the edge of School Road running along the kerbing just down from the primary school.
This pothole / rut is growing rapidly in size and depth.
Please can the edge of the road be resurfaced

Investigation: Completed (Defect Found), Defect Repair: Not Started - Thank you for your enquiry. A qualified Highways Inspector has assessed the location and we can confirm that in accordance with the WNC Highways Inspection Manual, the defect meets the requirement for a Priority 4 repair. We will schedule a repair to be completed within 26 weeks. Our current average response time for a Priority 4 repair is 59 days.

This was first accepted as a defect on 10th December 2025 with an average repair lead time of 59 days and a maximum of 26 weeks stated.
We are now well beyond the 59 day marker which was 7th February 2026
The 26 weeks marker point is the 10th June 2026
Can you confirm when this defect will be scheduled for repair... a work team carried out repairs to 4 other potholes further up School Road on 18th March 2026 and these were reported much later than this pothole
This pothole could have been repaired at the same time utilising the same resources!
