Blocked drain

The drain is blocked with mud and grass on the Charlton Road near Butts Close. When it rains the water bypasses the drain and runs along the road. In icy conditions the road is very dangerous as the runoff freezes causing the road to be slippery for pedestrians to cross and also cars pulling out of Butts Close.

  • Investigation: Completed (Highways to Monitor, Routine Inspection Programme) - Thank you for your enquiry. A qualified Highways Inspector has assessed the location, and we can confirm that in accordance with the WNC Highways Inspection Manual, this defect does not meet the investigatory levels for a repair. We will continue to monitor the condition as part of our routine highway inspection schedule. Should you notice the defect worsening, please inform us by raising a new FixMyStreet enquiry.
