Road crumbling and beeaking

Sent to West Northamptonshire Council less than a minute later. ref: 8524941.

This was repaired recently. But the road is breaking and crackin again and is in need of attention. It is getting worse with the rain an cold weather. This is a main road in and out of the village and gets heavy use

  • Investigation: Completed (Defect Found), Defect Repair: Not Started - Thank you for your enquiry. A qualified Highways Inspector has assessed the location and we can confirm that in accordance with the WNC Highways Inspection Manual, the defect meets the requirement for a Priority 4 repair. We will schedule a repair to be completed within 26 weeks. Our current average response time for a Priority 4 repair is 59 days.

  • How can this repair be safe this is appalling workmanship/workwomenship. Not only is this a trip hazard for pedestrians, but could cause damage to a vehicle. Who ever repaired this road doesn't deserve to be paid. This is shocking and hopefully no one gets hurt by this awful work.

  • Utterly remarkable. This is now the second time that this repair has been attempted.

    The first one failed after a week or two. The second failed literally one day afterward.

    This morning the rain was bubbling up from underneath the pavement.

    Once again a substandard fix has been applied resulting in a dangerous trip hazard for pedestrians.

    Totally unacceptable.

  • This fault was reported over 2 months ago. The condition is deteriorating and the hole now represents a serious safety hazard. It is over 6 inches deep and continues to enlarge. The path is used by families with small children, the elderly and infirmary. Please deal with this before a serious injury occurs.
