Icy and dangerous road

The road has become a main road, with constant traffic speeding through. In most areas the road isn’t wide enough for 2 cars and no road markings. The road is not gritted and is so dangerous. The road needs to be assessed and speed limit need reducing to 40mph max. Please grit this road.

I realise the 5 working days to assess this, though so far in the past 5 days, I have seen 3 x vehicle collisions. This could do with being assessed as a priority please.

I am on the road roughly 12 hours a day and have been for the last 14 years, since the bypass has been put in and road relayed the traffic on the road has increased 100 fold. The road and village is a used a cut through, with many drivers speeding, on a sunday you take your own life in your hands should you wish to use the road as a pedestrian,horse rider or cyclist. The road is simply not wide enough for the traffic that now uses the road. I have many times gone to help people that have had accidents on knock lane. The road is being gritted by a local person as they fear that someone will lose a life. This winter it has been icy and as the road is not on the gritting schedule there has been many accidents. The road side into blisworth gets no winter sun due to the hedgeline so remains icy all day. This road surface was meant to be one of the most advanced and not freeze quite clearly this is not the case. Due to the ditches being filled when the road work was done the water also now runs in the road down to the bottom of knock lane and has caused many accidents at the junction.
