Tree ROOT damaging drainage in the RBN Gurudwara(Sikh Temple) Roots from Highway Tree have entered Drain pipe.

During Gully Cleaning in the RBN Gurudwara car park the Contractor came upon Drainage pipe that has been damaged by tree root. The Large Tree is located in the Highway Verge Next to the RBN Boundary wall. Needs investigating and the remove the Roots in the Drainage pipe( Root Cutter )

Investigation: Ongoing - Thank you for your enquiry. A qualified Highways Inspector has assessed the location, unfortunately we have been unable to locate this issues at the location provided. Please can we request that you provide photos of the tree and the drainage. If we do not receive an update within 21 days this enquiry will be closed.

Reply to FMS Email 14/01/2026 requiring confirmation from Semilong Services regarding the root damage.
Please see report from Semilong Services confirming Tree roots are in the Drainage pipe in the RNB Gurdwara car park Drainage system, Nearest large tree is in the highway verge on Grafton St, next to the boundary wall.
If KIERS Inspector needs to carry out a joint site visit, I will be able attend at a mutually convenient time, please contact me by email or phone me.

Hi Ash
Hope you are well. As discussed when we attended site to clear the gullies our equipment got stuck in tree roots in and around the manhole/line. A CCTV camera was used for a look see to confirm what the issue was and how to free up the equipment but footage was not recorded as it was not a survey.
I have spoken to the engineers who have confirmed it was definitely roots.
