Just after canal bridge 2 potholes on left 1 7m from the other heading towards Clifton side of road dangerous at night as no visibility

Pothole has now grown. If hit, this will cause flat tyres and damage to wheels and vehicles. Visibility is limited due to the pothole being just over the bridge. Cannot also avoid it due to the road being narrow.

A qualified Highways Inspector has assessed the location and we can confirm that in accordance with the WNC Highways Inspection Manual, the defect meets the requirement for a Priority 3 repair. I hit this pothole on 21 Jan - didn’t see until over bridge and was too late to avoid, couldn’t swerve as was car on other side of road. Caused flat tyre immediately. Please fix asap it is very unsafe.

Pothole still here and getting larger, it is just over the brow of the bridge, so very difficult to avoid especially when traffic is coming the other way.

Pot hole just 10/15m after bridge is causing instant tyre damage. Cannot see pothole due to puddles.

Pot hole still there I hit it at 20.00 on 21/01/26. Caused flat tyre. Not visible in dark and can't be avoided with oncoming traffic and poor visibility over brow of bridge.

Investigation: Completed (Temporary Repair Completed - A permanent repair will be carried out in the next 28 days.), Defect Repair: Work Completed - Thank you for your enquiry. A qualified Highways Inspector has assessed the location and carried out an immediate semi-permanent repair. We will continue to monitor the condition as part of our routine highway inspection schedule. A permanent repair is programmed with an expected completion date of 22/07/26.
